HEAR HIS LIFE-CHANGING STORY

I was a stutterer. I experienced every single speech disfluency I coach for; from blocking to speaking too fast to uncontrolled movements. As a abandoned at the hospital and whose mother would disappear and reappear, speech therapists suspected that emotional trauma was a cause but had no luck in curing or diagnosing my speech impediment. As an adult, I avoided professional and personal situations that required me to speak, because I was ashamed to communicate. I dreamed of being a preacher, but who wants to hear a stuttering sermon? My speech held me back from living my life and pursuing my dreams, until about 15 years ago.

I stumbled upon some tapes that changed my life. The boyfriend of a friend of my wife's introduced me to some Brian Tracy audios cassettes and I started listening. At first I thought he was a bit boring. But then, I started to really listen to what he was saying and how he was saying it. I realized that his speaking style was not getting in the way of his message, but was actually amplifying it. He had a very smooth, rhythmic way of speaking, one that definitely resonated with me.

I found that if I pretended to be Brian Tracy when I spoke, I could speak flawlessly for 30, 40, 60 minutes or more, and often without notes. Now, since I could do this in presentations, I decided to start creating audios of my own and small talks. I created and practiced these talks with what turned out to be more tools to teach and help others find their calling and live more productive lives through smooth speech. This modeling transformed not only my speech, but also my speaking identity as a presenter, and my whole career trajectory. Today I have successfully coached thousands first hand, and tens of thousands on my online training platform to speak smoothly and communicate confidently, to pursue their dreams.
